Born and raised in Piedmont, Carey earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Economy from the University of California at Berkeley. She spent time working in Washington DC before returning to the Bay Area where she founded a successful political fund raising company.
Marin County has been Carey's home since 1989. She began her real estate practice in 2001 and was a top-producing agent for Coldwell Banker and Morgan Lane before joining Pacific Union International in 2010.
In her alliance with Pacific Union, Carey is consistently ranked in the Top 10 of all agents in Marin County. In 2013, she earned the #2 ranking of Marin County's approximately two thousand agents.
Carey is known to be honest, discrete and have great integrity by her clients and colleagues. She is passionate about her work and provides unparalleled service, strong negotiating skills and a superb knowledge of Marin County's many unique neighborhoods and schools.
Involvement in numerous networking groups gives Carey a competitive edge. Her networks include: Marin Top Agent Network, Marin Platinum Group and Luxury Agents of Marin (comprised of the top 20 or so agents). Carey is also recognized in Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate.
Carey lives in Kentfield and raised her three daughters (one in college and two recently graduated) in Marin. She is an active member of the community making her a valuable resource to her clients.
Carey gives generously to local organizations. Her past and present contributions include serving on the Marin General Hospital Foundation Board, as President of the Ross Valley Women's League, supporter of Adopt a Family of Marin and on the Executive Board of the Kentfield Schools Foundation.
Carey thoroughly enjoys all that Marin County has to offer. When she isn't selling real estate, Carey loves traveling with her daughters, dining at local restaurants, hiking and mountain biking on Mount Tamalpais, shopping at the local farmer's markets, playing golf, tennis and gardening.
